It’s clear their laws are twisted and in need of some serious amendment. You can’t excuse their actions. Yes there’s a need for structure and discipline, but this very clearly ain’t it. I see so many people in the comments falling inline with mob / herd mentality. The type to quickly turn on those keeping them safe and others when filled with fear. I just don’t get it
exactly, and this case was regarding a CHILD. if you don't prioritise the children, how on earth is their little, warped society going to survive? i can't understand how people are rationalising their actions..

If u make exceptions or don’t show the consequences for breaking rules in a apocalypse setting there’s chaos, obviously in a real world setting it’s different but the world is already full of chaos, yes he did it for his child but he knew the rules and broke them! And yeah obviously in his position most people would break it to but the punishment was clear like he knew this would happen if he got caught
There are other ways to punish a crime than hitting a person to death with blunt object. Solitary confinement, unpaid labor, giving away his food rations, etc..
No shade but it’s literally the apocalypse like if he just lets one person slide for any reason then everyone’s gonna break the rules and take and have chaos yeah it’s morally wrong but it’s setting an example
