Quick question

Personally, nothing deep really, it's just another genre from sooo many we've got, if it's got good enough plot, doesn't matter what genre, I'm reading it.

Hmm FOR ME MYSELF.
I read bL because the real world is CRUEL AS FUCK.
We don't see gays around us but they are in with us but they can't be confident with their identity because of how FCKED UP our so called society is. Just because a MEN isn't muscular they deem them unworthy of being called a MEN, IT SUCKS.

Coming to the main point: I read bL BECAUSE I get to see two individuals regardless of their gender, muscularity, menly appearance..etc, come together into a relationship having a bond so deep to be called fate and destiny to be together forever despite the struggles.
Atleast in fictional BL I get to see them have a HAPPY ENDING. I get to see them being able to do what real gays can't do freely. I get to see them being lovey dovey, I get to see them in their top form of happiness. (There's a lot I want to say but I can't find the right words to express my reasons).
And lastly, even as a girl I can't find my happy ending nor can I find the perfect men. But in BL despite being two male, they work out like as if their destiny were already written in the stars.

Because I just view it as romance, same reason
why I read gl and straight romance

Hmm... Personally i think its because its my first manga/manhwa genre i read, i just fell in love when i read it, i just find bl romance more enjoyable to read than straight romance manhwa's but still sometimes i get traumatizes whenever i read dark bl so i just stick to shounen ai's

Idk man, tbh. I accidentally watched a TT vid showing some manga panels of 'Yours to Claim', so I became intrigued and started reading it, upon realizing it's a BL. I thought it was just sum soft manhwa shit then when I saw the dih I became disgusted whatsoever. For me at first, I thought it was weird that something like that is considered a genre and it's so fucking horrid (at first). But it got that magnetic smth that makes u keep reading more n more. Like it's trying to tell that "gay shit isn't disgusting nor weird, it's just like a straight smut with two guys who have the same plot as many of the straight manhwas." It helps to give clarity that no matter what smutty genre that is, you're just a lonely hoe who wanted to expereince dose kinda things. What I'm saying is that I'm reading bl because it's just the same as reading some horny shits in the internet. So yeah, it's fun and it's an eye-opener for me.

Everyone have their own type. Like how I can read anything and everything but not gL. I swear I can't bring myself to read it but I'm totally fine with people who are lesbian (bc my bestie is bi). At one point I was Bi too but that was untill I found bL, I die for fictional MEN, Even if I were to be born as a guy I would still love a guy...that's just how much I love men (specific real men too not all)

Anyways I did tried a gL but that was wayyyyyyyy back i don't even remember which it was but it was cute that's all (I must be a joke). But then, what bL did you try first? I hope you didn't directly started with YAOI!!!!! BECAUSE I DID, i was taken aback it was my first bL(bj alex) I was innocent af (I was naive).
If you want something digestible and easy to be consumed with lots of sugar I have 1 for you! You want to try and give it a go that is. No force No pressure!

That's the thing i didn't really read any bl yet , like the first thing i read was Heartstopper (not whole and like 3-4 years ago) and it was so cute TvT. Never tried reading more tho, i just started reading gls/yuri and stayed with that genre

Oh same, I started with BL and almost ended with bL witout exploring romance,etc etc. I started romance and other Shoujo (preferably historical) after reading "who made me a princess" this shit is peak. It still stands in the top 10. The art is also 10000/10, plotwise still 10000/10 a must try manhwa.
For the bL I was talking about try reading "men's wear store and her/his royal highness" this is straight on shounen ai, Cute, fluffy, sugary ahhh Ill never forget this. It's soo sweet, I might just get diabeticsTT bcoz I love it ooo sooo much TT.
