the monologue

Just want to know, if you agree with me on this. The monologue in the beginning is Yashiro's thoughts, right? It was him who wanted to 'bind' doumeki to himself?

Cause when I read it first, I switching from Yashiro to Doumeki , and thought the last few thoughts were Doumeki's, since he was drawn on the page..

I think, that's Yashiro, because it seems the same scenes from his point of view

It's Doumeki, the whole flashback scene is from Doumeki's point of view as far as thoughts go.

Hmm now I'm even more confused haha..

I thought Yashiro didn't want to apologize, because he knew he would be leaving Doumeki behind, but then again if it's doumeki the it's about his complex with acknowledging lust as something positive/natural..
and I thought Yashiro realised that he meant something to Doumeki when he started crying, but if it's doumeki's thoughts then he just remembered why he started crying..

Now I think the monologue represents both of their feelings well, even if it is meant to clarify just Doumeki's (or Yashiro's) thoughts..

The dialogue is pretty confusing lol

I'm almost certain Doumeki says "I don't want to apologize because it means I've done something wrong"; he's constantly apologizing to Yashiro, and he doesn't want to believe that he did something wrong with Yashiro (like his father had done to his sister). Doumeki is the one that realizes he means something to Yashiro; he wants to cling to this fact so much because he's fallen so madly in love.

    It's all Doumeki's thoughts.
Doumeki doesn't want to apologize because that would be recognizing that having sex with Yashiro is wrong rather he just forced Yashiro into sex thus it's a non-consensual/rape-y sex, no different from other men Yashiro has done it with.

Doumeki is remembering Yashiro crying. The point of that flashback-in-flashback is that Yashiro continues to lie. After all that intimate and liberating sex, Yashiro still lies and keeps things from Doumeki. Doumeki confronts Yashiro like he always does and Doumeki had hope (maybe) that he finally broke Yashiro's mind defenses but NOPE still the same. That flashback also connects to Yashiro pretending he's fine with the relationship, getting all sweet and insisting Doumeki to sleep. Pretending as if he's never going to leave while Doumeki sleeps. Doumeki, just like the crying Yashiro flashback, knows that Yashiro is lying and definitely going to leave him.

None of the black boxes were Yashiro's.

thanks for your replies. Someone also posted a tumblr post with an analysis in another comment which explains the whole chapter really well :)
