Fr I almost dropped the story in S1 because of this exact problem

Yeah I've been on the verge of dropping it for most of the reading time
And now I'm conflicted again - whether to drop it already or see at least how they sue the gas-lighting dude... it's the same problem again with such stories, it's useless to keep reading, but after all the reading that's already been done it's a pity not to see some answers...

You're not looking for "guideverse" then LOL You want Hunter/Ranker. Toootally different. Guideverse is all about the guiding side of hunters/espers, which is the sex. You want something more along the lines of Solo Leveling, right?

Ayo we are the same besti, i dropped this too earlier before season 1 ended i was interested in the plot plus the smut is givingლ(´ڡ`ლ) but then its all about smut and less about the plot(⊙…⊙ ) i just re-read this back again, prolly gonna drop this again till the end so that i can read all in one shot

Read the Profundis novel (not the manhwa—it’s a poor adaption that cares little for the real plot) for actual world building and monsters. You can skip the sex scenes that aren’t with Shinje and Yugeon (there’s character development in it—you can skin too).

I did, thank you :) and the sex scenes there are good... I'm not all that against sex scenes... although in novels I feel lazy to read them. Sex scenes HERE are somewhat bland and the art is subpar... so yes, there is too much sex for art of this quality.

If u want more action packed dungeon stories (with less to no smut in the main story) then read hunterverse instead since Guideverse deals mostly with skinship. In BL guideverse physical intimacy is necessary for the plot so a lot of sex scenes are to be expected.

And really, no need to show ur distaste here where people enjoy this story, if u find this bland then dont force urself and read other stories that will suite ur taste

Its also the reason why it wasnt tagged as action! While there are mentions of dungeons, this is more centered around romance. If you haven't yet, i suggest you read "The Hunter Wants to Live Quietly", its more of what your looking for. I'd also like to reccomend "Global examination", its not guideverse but really good action/fantasy bl!

There’s a good one called A Trace of the Wonder (Yaoi) but like someone said earlier it’s a Hunterverse, not a guideverse and the title says “yaoi” but nothing really happens sexual wise until near the end and even then I don’t think it really shows anything but don’t quote me on that it been a while since I’ve read. It’s still peak tho and it actually focuses on dungeon clearing and learning to control powers with a bit of mc trauma as the ml tries being manipulative but the mc is pretty calculating as well. Should totally read it, there’s fun twists
