Hiii I actually got a paper which is basically content analysis (foundation for this survey basically) if you’re interested it’s called “the overlooked cases of female Hikikomori: representation in manga” you can find it online it’s free!
Its really interesting!! I never thought about how female hikikomori are more “acceptable” as its expected for women to stay in, thanks for the read (≧∀≦)
