Might be an unpopular opinion but...

....... Honestly I wasn't interested in Sam, Hal, and Nobu to begin. I want the flashback to end, its to long. I want the story to get back to the main people >.<

is it because they have a polyamory relationship? because I understand that (if that's the case), I personally don't dig them but with this manga the person(s) who created this story just makes it so interesting that its hard nOt to root for these three.

I think the reason I'm not interested in them is because not a lot of time was spent on them and they were only briefly introduced before the in-depth flashback. I do kinda root for them but I feel they needed more character development and build up before the flash back.

That's very true but it felt as though we were getting their true personalities when the developer had them formally introduced as children. We learned that they were brought up by an orphanage. That's what they have in common, that's how they came together, that's where they're connection begins. I won't lie, I did nOt want to read about them at first, I really only wanted the story to get back on track, but when ideas arise, their kind of hard to erase. So I'm only assuming the author couldn't abandon the fabricated fantasy of the trio. But I really do wish the creator could have made a separate story for them. I did not like the awaiting surprise.

Well it's not really necessary. In The Hatter they showed up briefly but I think it was enough to get some interest in them (Why they didn't killed Ryou? What's they aim?) At first, I didn't even thought they are connected. Now I can think back that neither Nobu nor Hal finished of Ryou and they kept him away from informational so they could let him go afterwards.
That character development you mentioned is happening in The Speaker. Thank author had a good reason not to mix the 2 story too much do they can stand as separate ones as well.
