Why in the hell would you want to punch Doumeki in the face, let alone at all?
I know right ┗( T﹏T )┛ nobody is talking about those pages that are really important and that Yashiro was crying In front of Domeki or Yashiro showing In his face that the bite did it hurt .And Domeki is really beautiful ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
Well, he is a dog, literally. Not the smartest out there but loyal beyond any reasoning. I wished Yashiro's partner would be a more interesting guy and I really don't care if he is right for him or not. It's one of those characters I cannot bring myself to like. The whole "boss" calling makes the difference between them even more obvious. People find that erotic, I'm aware of that. Also I wished for Yashiro stopping his masochistic "act" earlier. The author was dragging it out for years so nobody could think it was rushed. At the end we all knew the outcome. LOVE saved him. How original, really. The execution of this story is great because the author has undeniable talent. But if you think about it in detail ... becoming impotent because of questionable reasons, cutting off your fingers ... my dear Yashiro, you deserved so much better and Yoneda didn't hear my prayers and gave you a more complex guy. That's the best thing she had in her pocket ... I'm pissed.
it's an interesting thought. But rather egoistical isn't it. There are many reason I want to punch doumeki too, esp the sex which is rushed and careless. But yashiro is no better.He's impotent in relationship and manipulative bastard. which is why he is so goof at being yakuza.
but one way or another, I think doumeki and yashiro fitting for another. doumeki can't change yashiro into healthy lifestyle, it had to be yashiro himself who willing to do it, and it's not easy to change one's habbit.
only dumb and beyond loyal guy like doumeki could endure seeing someone like yashiro destroying himself. If he is smart guy, he will be just like misumi or hirata. they want to change yashiro, which is why yashiro stop seeing them.
or like ryuzaki who attracted to him, but decide not to love him because his rotten lifestyle.
doumeki endure and like him the way he is, and creating shifting in yashiro's character, that's why yashiro affraid of him. he makes yashiro want to change, he gave yashiro option for different life, he destroyed yashiro's thought that he had no option. and if you had living in masochist life for years, it is damn terrifying.
but the way the plot moving and yash's stubborn character, I wm affraid there woulf br sad ending in the horizon.

I think that Doumeki and Yashiro will have a happy ending but it will be difficult to get there and here are some yoneda kou's twitters from the official account http://lustfulcat.tumblr.com/search/marathon in which she said some nice things about the future of these beautiful characters because they deserved to be happy .

Wow, you don't get the characters at all, do you? Doumeki might not be the brightest guy in the conventional sense of the word (he is quite observant though), but he went numb like he did because he was dead inside after he found out about his father raping his sister. Yashiro who accepts everything life throws at him showed him a different way to deal with his past, and brought him back to life. And now Doumeki is trying to save Yashiro who btw isn't saved at all yet? He ran away. The sex with Doumeki tore his wounds open and made him realize how traumatised he is. It will be quite a struggle for both of them from now on. And about Yashiro stopping his "masochistic act" ... he wasn't acting, he was trying to survive his trauma. What would have been the point of the whole story if he had been able to just get over it on his own?
I think Doumeki is one of the smartest characters in the manga, if not the smartest. It's the others who are too dumb to converse with him properly, hence why Doumeki ends up being seen as weird and dumb. He is the only one who can properly understand Yashiro and see through his lies and fake attitude, but no one can see through Doumeki. Although Yashiro may now be getting a bit closer to it after the long conversation between them.. basically Doumeki had to verbally explain Yashiro about his feelings, before Yashiro could even try to understand him a little bit.

and yes, he cut of his finger for a reason. that scene shows his determination and loyalty to both Yashiro and the group, but also his shock and fears about Yashiro's safety. His finger symbolises his love, loyalty and determination for following Yashiro, since a finger cannot grow back together and it's too late to reattach it, it means that his will and love are now eternal.
Also, regarding victims of rape and their healing, I would say that love and sex are an important part of the healing process, exactly because it is a sexual crime.
Doumeki is so loyal, literally like a dog. It's just as you say and THAT IN ITSELF is really interesting to be honest (am I the only one??). Because in real life, it's not always that you see someone like that, someone so devoted. Also, look at how he could change at times, when he was having sex with Yashiro. We didn't see the submissive Doumeki, he was forceful and he was trying to break the wall between him and Yashiro. He isn't as simple as you portray him to be. I also thought about what would happen if Yashiro was given a complex guy. I can imagine them playing mind games on each other's character and inner thoughts and yeah that's kinda cool but for me the combination of Yashiro x Doumeki is closer to reality (they blend w/ each other well, Doumeki's persistence and Yashiro's tendency to run away from troublesome things) which is why its effect to people is more relatable and defined.
Oh and btw, "LOVE saved him". That's bullshit HAHA they (kinda) know now each other's feelings but honestly, did anyone look "saved" to you in the latest chapters? Doumeki's anxiety is worse and Yashiro, well, no one knows bc of that damn poker face but I'm guessing he's troubled right now. Ugh I don't want to be philosophical but what does "being saved" even mean lol (w/ that kind of lifestyle?? haha) I don't think the manga is going towards the direction you're thinking.

hello, it's the same anon. Because doumeki rushed it. I think yashiro keep doumeki around because the emotional bond, but doumeki reaching (forcing) the physical point, now yash will think doumeki just like other guy that want to take him down. and doumeki had to working hard all over again to gain the trust.
and I don't know about manga. when the partner saying no a few times, I start to feel really uncomfortable reading it. yash says stop a few times. (●￣(ｴ)￣●)
that is not how I read it.To me it seemed gentle. Yashiro was willing as long as he did not see Dom. 's face. He wanted it to hurt. That was his comfort zone. Dom. wanted to give pleasure. Yas. was not used to that. Yas. was begging for it to hurt. Dom. showed him that it can be pleasure.,he was not used to that. Since child hood that is all hs has known, Dom. taught him differently.

Nobody is talking about the first 6 pages? I was never the biggest fan of this story. Doumeki is the kind of guy I want to punch in the face. And Yashiro, well, whatever. But this 6 pages were sweet like hell! Now I only want that Doumeki stops calling him "boss" and I'm sailing this ship!
