I don't believe so, as though yes most modern relationships require both physical and emotional intimacy to be fulfilling, I have experienced and have seen many others that I know have fulfilling relationships while staying completely celibate or mutually lacking sexual attraction to their partners but still be romantically attracted to them.
I understand what you're saying, but I feel the story will get boring if it's just about their love with no physical connection she should die or let him go to the next life I feel she would be selfish keeping him around and he would be selfish not letting her live life.
You have a point too! I'm completely okay with it but I totally get it might not be like that for other people? Like in my opinion the story is amazing and really insightful without maintaining any physical relations between the two, but opinions, I guess ! And mine isn't even the popular opinion
If they don't touch each other at all this story is a lost cause.
