God I love this ... this is how you slowly lose your humanity in times of war. It starts with little things, justifiable things, and then suddenly you find yourself with no regards for human life, not thinking of people as individuals but merely a crowd and then you don't feel bad doing anything to anyone... I'm so glad now he has Shane to introduce him to alternatives in every moment of the way. Going out of your way to save more people is what's always been the most beautiful thing about humans.
