Being vulnerable and wanting to love someone isn’t from a lack of self respect. It’s actually much more mature and thoughtful than trusting an outside person who clearly has ulterior motives about your own relationship instead of talking to your partner and breaking up over it while they’re not around to defend themselves to “not get hurt first”.
