Well, Taejae has been poor since the start of this story. Hyemi's reaction is quite normal, I bet even if she was the one Taejae met first/or have fallen in love with, she would still break it off with him. Unlike MC, she seems to be looking for a stable relationship and I remember Taejae on the other hand, was pretty content with the state that he is in. That will never work. The MC on the other hand probably didn't care much since she's a POS and tainting people like Taejae is her kink. It just so happens that this time, her actions are coming to bite back at her .

I think the author deliberately made Hyemi feel disgusted (?) on the guy’s house so that the readers will not feel any pity on her. Idk just my assumption hahaahah. And in the emd, the guy’s action will be justified
