I don’t think inequality is a crazy thing to bring up if you consider the stereotypical depictions of tops and bottoms in BL manga, whilst there are ones out there that don’t have the archetypal top/bottom you see so often that bottoms being portrayed as weak and shit and sometimes being put down like being called a ‘bitch’. Even if you just don’t read those types of stories it doesn’t change the fact that it’s common. Also just wanna say it doesn’t really matter about what’s more popular irl switching or strict tops/bottoms, ppl just want representation of both
