can you give an example? i think season two so far has had a couple tropes but they all build onto the establishment in season one in a meaningful and insightful way. i dont really think flanderization applies here
I’d say it’s not as entertaining but they’ve never fallen into a “Yaoi trope” because of it. They’re just adding information into the story about the characters and classical yaois wouldn’t even bother to talk about these topics. The only reason why it’s “boring” is because the information you’re learning isn’t dramatic or leaving you Star-struck.
Flanderization definitely didn’t happen considering we had an entire chapter focusing on why he acts the way he acts.
flanderization with eunoh, i think the main characters are fine and i praise the author for having a nuanced depiction of an unstable character like jinhyeok. i also think it's great how they're focusing on jinhyeok connecting with others as a sign of recovery, not just dedicating himself to uyun. that being said, shit like uyun rushing to the hotel because of one phone call puts me off. well tbh i dont really care i think i just miss fanfics
Uyun called his boyfriend phone and instead an older drunk guy responded saying he was on top of his boyfriend, and that it was an accident or he didn't meant to.
I don't think is an overreaction to rush if he assumed the worst
season 1 was great with the initial comedy hook, then the tone change, and really understanding the characters, but season 2 seems to have fallen to common yaoi tropes, flanderization and isn't as entertaining. anyone else feel like this?
