I wouldn’t read too much into it.. author probably wanted to combine a few popular settings/plot points like guideverse, nameverse, actor ml x normal civilian mc etc. Neither of those are properly expanded upon or explained in the story.
I also think within guideverse, a lot of authors do it differently and it varies greatly. Some guideverse stories have gates/dungeons with monsters, some stories have monsters just roaming around in the world, some stories have apocalyptic themes. Something that’s popular with Chinese novels/manhua is sentinel and guide, instead of espers and guides. These stories are basically the same as the regular guideverse but usually with sentinel and guide stories, they have some sort of spirit animal that they can manifest. Idk if you know that manhua with the white hair mc with a lamb spirit animal who is also a guide and the twin espers with leopard(?) spirit animal. Can’t remember the name of this manhua at the moment.
So I binge read this today and I have a few things I noticed, first is that what do the espers do??? Like, yk how traditional guideverse usually have some monsters and gates and shit, but this doesn't have that so what's the use of the esper's powers??? Second, guides doesn't have a ranking system, like are every guide there has the same wavelength and shit?? Like, if you've read a few guideverse manhwas, you know that guides purifies the toxins that has built up on the esper's body something like that, but this manhwa is all about matching rates and pairs, like, the manhwa low-key just use the identity of esper's and guides for that reason and didn't include other factors in a guideverse.
Despite that though, the manhwa is cute and shit.
Also regarding the latest chapters, I'm curious, do they still have the mark on their backs??? Will it still work?
