I get it but the idea is that he was only married to her because he didn't have long to live. She was trying to make him happy while he was still alive so that would pass away without any regrets. That was until the MC cured him.
the 30 year old woman w/ a 5 year old "husband" is, honestly, pretty gross... I get that it's for "comedy" reasons but... ugh...
unrelated, but for a 5 year old, the character design should probably have been 1.5 heads shorter... but it's SUPER RARE to ever see children drawn at a correct scale so /shrug
