i don’t really understand all the rou hate because he didn’t do anything that bad, he wanted to support his friend who was going through a DV situation and couldn’t take care of himself, and he properly communicated with yoshino prior to staying over. this is a pretty adult situation that will happen in real life and i think rou and yoshino communicating more (yoshino being vocal about his feelings and rou realizing that even with best intentions he should also think more about his partner) is pretty real. but they have a very secure attachment style, and like adults are able to talk it out. i do think the story is kind of boring and didn’t really add anything to their relationship, but i don’t think the rou hate is all that deserved. they’re both two people new to dating properly so as humans do they’re going to make mistakes and hurt feelings even if they have best intentions. that’s just what life and being in a partnership is
lol i honestly think the way rou handled his apology should be the gold standard for apologies, he made no excuses despite genuinely not understanding what he did wrong at first.
I don't get the rou hate either. As you said, the way the conflict developed seemed pretty mature to me. The way Yoshino tried to convince Rou to stay using his body and Rou recognizing it and reassuring him was so nice, too.
