I have a feeling it has something to do with her foresight. I immediately thought it might even be an inherited family trait that emperors kill female royals for, when she mentioned the hardships that previous female royals went through, and how she had a great grandmother who'd been executed...
I mean, it could be either because emperors want to take advantage of it and kill off useless women who don't show enough foresight, or because they consider their foresight a hindrance and want to eliminate it (if the FL's father knew her power was still there, and could any day get re-activated)
