Those are all signs of an author who just wants a paycheck. Lazy plot relying on cliché tropes, refusing to focus on the harder to write but more important things, and constantly drawing "romance" scenes between ML and FL. It's pure heart-throb bait for girls who do like the ML to fawn over.
It was entertaining at first, but then it became sooo boring. It started going sour for me when:
- The ML was acting like an obsessive piece of shit. When Helga disappeared he would literally stalk her everyday like a creep. It's not romantic, fucking cut it out. On top of that he'd break furniture everytime he got jealous that a client was seducing Helga. I hated how Sion had to deal with him. It must have been scary as heck to have a hooded man break your furniture for no reason. It got worse when the ML sent the red knight and that he drew his sword just because Sion said he was FL's husband (to help her). Bruh. Being obsessive isn’t cute. Also over someone he liked when he was like 10 years old is fucking cringe. Virgin ass vibes. Dude liked one girl in his childhood, only girl he ever knew, and now as an adult he's still obsessed. Bruh. Also he has fucking overused black hair. I hope all black haired MLs die. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! I CANT STAND ALL THOSE MLS LOOKING IDENTICAL IN BOTH LOOKS AND PERSONALLITY!!!
- Then it kept getting boring when Helliane got utterly rejected by Helga with no further discussion. Even though for the 4 years Helga was gone, Helliane actually was doing her best for Helga. That pissed me off.
- Then the whole fucking shit show with the witch, ancestors, war... What the fuck was that? Literally SO unnecessary to the plot. It just felt like the author was trying so hard to turn this webtoon into something it's not. Big waste of time.
Instead of doing some shit plot with a war, why not continue the solid foundation that webtoon had? Aka Helga's revenge and her relationship with her mother and sister. Helga says that she came to forgive her mother, but I wish we had actual deep scenes about it. Give it more spotlight instead of drawing boring "romance" scenes between FL and ML. I also wish author spent more time deepening the sisters' relationship. Everything truly important is so rushed. THOSE relationships are the reason why we decided to read this webtoon. Why rush through them? Why give us a shitty ML no one cares about and a shitty war even more useless??
