I think it wasn't meant to be erotic but more so to establish their dynamic moving forward. Like the author drew Hajoon looking hella uncomfortable during the smex. It's more of a storytelling smex than ooooh hotty hot hot smex. It's more to highlight Hajoon's inexperience and his willingness to endure the pain if it meant spending one night with his unrequited love.
