When I was a kid I ask my mom why my name is same as moon(in my native language) which is a male( as I am someone with a vijayjay).and my mom told me that the moon is actually is infact gender neutral. And my brain went babaouu 'man, woman, and other??!!!'. That was my very 1st time when I heard anything related to this thing and now that I did my own research, I went double babaouu cz whoaa nature is wild. Anyways thanks for reading. Have a good day.

Ok I never thought it like this
But now that I look at it moon has many names in both genders and also nutral names in sanskrit
    This is so fascinating
(Okay so it's not that uncommon to have both gender names of technically anything in sanskrit )

Apparently, this moon god/godess(soma) of Vedic mythology had homoerotic relationship with agni (the god of fire) and other female goddess. And soma was described as the bride of agni. I had fun learning that. Haahh.. mythology so fascinating
