got this from the chapters uploaded on novelupdates but first off, obviously he's concious of wooyeon having feelings of him and enjoys it but it's actually a while before he likes him back. He also knows who he is and their past together.
second point, wooyeons mother is overbearing and super controlling of his life.
Dohyun was originally hired by his mother to keep an eye on wooyeon and report back to his mother.
Not only this but Danny, the guy we see wooyeon speak with on the phone, is also his mother's spy. Wooyeon knows this but I think because of how lonely he is still keeps Danny around.
Wooyeon finds abt Dohyun also being a spy because he catches him in the act Dohyun does not confess anything about this until they're already in a relationship until he's abt to get caught by Wooyeon so he panics and rushes to Wooyeons mother instead of straight up telling him.
Once he does Wooyeon forgives him immediately.
So basically imo the way it read was like Dohyun knowing of Wooyeon's adoration, loneliness and isolation due to his mother and taking advantage of it for his own ego, also added on to the fact that Dohyun is an orphan and shown to be somewhat twisted sometimes.
I'm still going to read the manhwa but I'm bracing myself for when this happens, hoping they'll make Dohyun redeem himself better than the novel

Yeah I am curious how it’s going to be in the webtoon vs novel simply because they have already portrayed hints imo of dohyun already falling for mc unlike what ive seen about the novel but maybe that’s just my speculation
Hmm, interesting take on the spoilers. There were definitely times that I wished Wooyeon wouldn't forgive Dohyun so easily, and I didn't like Dohyun going to Wooyeon's mom, but also Dohyun helped Wooyeon extricate himself from his overbearing mom, which helped redeem him imo. Also once we got Dohyun's POV, it was clear he was just as whipped for Wooyeon almost from the beginning of college, and he also had great affection for him when they were younger, too. He left the college festival early on purpose so he could see Wooyeon. And Dohyun hadn't really felt love before either, so he was navigating through his own complicated feelings too. They both got manipulated by Wooyeon's mom, but are stronger together once they get her out of between them.
Ohhhh I love that, this info actually makes me feel better about what’s to come!
Story is so peak rn im surprised people say the novel is mid :’(
