Character development, yes. I find Taeju funny. And I stayed for Euihyun and Euiyoung. I don't feel the particular NEED to defend bad actions like you. He did a vile thing and that'll never be erased. Sometimes your favorite characters do horrible things. Things you cannot defend. Doesn't mean they can't be your favorite character anymore. Live with that.

You're the complicated one. I'm not defending his past actions because he was never a good guy. fyi he lived his whole life as a trashy person he's literally a gangster who beats people up and off them &slept with multiple people. He just happened to fall in love with Euihyun (who made himself change btw).
tbh I feel like I've been saying this a lot these days(esp to that big three manhwas lmfao) but WE cannot change the past, so do not dwell on it. THIS APPLIES TO BOTH IN REAL LIFE AND FICTION. the important thing is you do better in the present and what you will do in the future. and um I'm sure I cannot convince you to forget and forgive even if this one's just a fiction lol we aren't Euihyun after all.

You’re acting like you’ve figured something out, but all I see is someone proudly excusing rape because it’s “in the past.” Just because he was a gangster, slept around, or beat people up doesn’t mean rape gets swept under the same rug of “bad guy things.” Rape isn’t just a mistake or a phase. It’s violence. It’s trauma. It’s a line that doesn’t get erased because he “fell in love later.”
You want redemption? Great. But not everyone deserves it, and rapists are at the top of that list. And no—the fact that Euihyun forgave him (if that’s even what you got from it) doesn’t mean I have to. Readers don’t owe forgiveness. We can call a character what he is—a rapist. That label doesn’t disappear because the story wants to soften it. You may want to move on, but that doesn’t mean it’s right to ask everyone else to look away and “just enjoy the plot.” If your enjoyment demands silencing criticism of sexual violence, you’re the problem. And it’s even worse that you're telling me not to dwell on something that happens in real life. You’re not just excusing rape in fiction—you’re normalizing it outside of fiction too. Are you sure you’re not the fucking problem here? Are you sure you’re not the one who seriously lacks a shred of moral compass?
Because from where I’m standing, you’re defending a rapist—and that says a hell of a lot more about you than it does about me.

Fiction doesn’t erase the weight of the act. “He changed” isn’t a free pass for rape—even in fiction. That logic is dangerous, because it romanticizes abuse under the excuse of “growth.” The damage being done is exactly why redemption isn’t owed. Fiction mirrors reality, and if we excuse it here, we normalize it there. “He’s better now” isn’t a plot twist—it’s an insult.

You’re doing too much babe, tone it down
the “im saying for euihyung and euiyoung”…… yeahhhh sure buddy….
Don’t try to call others out for liking Taeju when you’re still actively enjoying the story…. Giving excuses on why you’re still reading is lame.
If you’re really into the whole “I can’t believe y’all forgive him” crap, you’re forgiving him for continuing to read A BL ABOUT TAEJU AND EUIHYUNG IN A ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP!!
Y’all loooovvvveee delinquent bls but hate when they do delinquent shii?
Like the other person said: he was never a green flag, (not exactly what they said but what I interpreted) he did bad things and no one is “excusing it” we just see that he character development we don’t ever see in these types of characters/ at all Taeju turned into a green flag whether you like it or now â•®( ̄▽ ̄)â•
Now, we’re not saying rapists should be forgiven…. You seem so hell bent on pushing that narrative on us…… we just think aside from that he’s a green flag, considering this IS. An omega verse AND has mafia tags and ish.
and again you’re here “shaming”?? Us for liking Taeju when you still continue to read? (Hypocrite…)
If only there wasn't a in the first chapter i could have win the argument i had with my friend that taeju is ultimate green flag i mean look at him now he has changed... So much.. Character development is real...
What u mean u can't forget what he did first.... Forget it
