He defently did, Diavel truly loved her after all.
For White hair, if I remember correctly, he made a "proposal" to her before her execution. To become his servant, and I think he intended to marry her if she accepted
I think Daviel made a pact with the devil before the execution because it was the only way to save his master
Also the way he said he doesn't belong to her and when she said she would never marry a commoner
I also think in the first timeline the white hair couldn't propose to her because he knew she can't love him anymore this is why he had a face like that or maybe she felt different to him after her family died
