I agree with you. And remind to all people that not all the people who is in or supports the LGBTQ+ community is woke. They are entirely different things and yes, yaoi is not originally made for male audience but for women to enjoy or read. I've been reading/watching yaoi/BL for more than a decade now but you know I don't particularly "support" them, or should I say support some of their agendas (like the bathroom thing, and the pronouns). Don't get me wrong, I don't hate them, I respect their human rights, I also have a friend who is gay, but it doesn't mean I will support everything they are doing.
What does that even mean, one flip of the coin you love reading about there sex life but when it comes to bathrooms they want to use (which imo sounds like you are talking about someone being transgender which is an entirely different conversation) and what pronouns they wish to use (which also sounds like you are talking about transgender people) that’s where you cross the line??? If you cared about there human rights then would you not want them to be comfortable at all times cisgender straight people never have to worry about things like that because it comes “naturally” so it’s kind of unfair for you to say that you support them when you don’t you like the idea… and please if you also say shit like I don’t support all of the things they do and then say I have a gay friend it’s like a racist saying I’m not racist I have a black family member who is married to my 10th cousin on my dads side..

What you’re referring to is bara. Yaoi is predominantly written by straight women for straight women, and bara is written by gay men for gay men. At least from discussions I’ve seen online, a lot of gay men do not have a positive view toward yaoi
