take my comment with a grain of salt tbh. many people are still enjoying this sequel, so you might too.. tho i personally cant say anything positive about this lol. honestly, the story wasnt even that bad, but the fact that its a sequel (which i've forgotten about tbh. apparently people say rou was just as dense in the prequel) irks me, since it weirdly focus on another character's interaction with rou rather than the main couple. heck, even in the first chapter, yoshino didnt appear physically until the end (which is why i thought it was a cheating story). i personally think this sequel, esp the first half of it, doesnt add anything to the couple's development nor even the MC's development, but that doesnt take away from the fact that they still resolve their problem and find happiness ig. it was just truly a weird, thoughtless storywriting decision in general like i think there should be a way to tell a story of rou being dense and fixing his habit without stomping on yoshino's feelings

I read the story. It was cute. I think this story gives you more of a perspective into Rou's point of view and his way of thinking. I do agree his denseness in the 1st story did get on my nerves, but I think this story fixes that. Seeing his pov was cute. I don't think Rou was stomping on Yoshino's feelings, that's actually the last thing he'd want to do. From the story you can see how head over heels he is.

thats good that you enjoyed. maybe if i read this right away after reading the first one, i would've enjoyed it a bit more, bc i clearly forgot rou was as dense, if not worse, in the first story.
anyway, by stomping on yoshino's feelings, i didnt mean *rou* specifically was stomping all over yoshino's feelings. i mean the story itself. i think its pretty clear that rou is head over heels for yoshino, but also in a way, the story seems to make it clear that rou sometimes forget to put yoshino first and foremost, thus causing yoshino to suppress his feelings and have to make the compromises while rou was oblivious of what actually happened. i feel that if the story takes on a similar jealousy plot line, without specifically making rou stay over and take care of a coworker that he was somehow so infatuated of from the first meeting, it would result in just the same conclusion (of rou realizing his denseness) without putting too much pressure on yoshino. i mean, it was clear that yoshino also trusted rou to not cheat on him, but at the same time, his action wasnt a very reassuring one. like, yes, rou's kindness to a fault was one of the parts that yoshino love about him, but it was also the cause of his anxiety.
even then, at the end, they barely communicated aside from pretty words and rou's "compromise" is him not talking about his work *at all* as to not mention the coworker (like, is there really nothing to talk about at work that doesnt involve That One coworker???). it just feels weird that the story itself takes such a specific, exaggerated route for their "development" bc surely there are other routes to take that are less taxxing for yoshino's feelings???
truly ass ngl. disappointing tbh. didnt realize it was a sequel and thought it was a standalone story about two coworkers, then found out the mc has a bf and was so scared that it would be a cheating story. realized it was a sequel of something but GODDDDD it was so stressful to read.
the ending glazed the mc too much. like hello???? only one and two apology after your stupid ass made your own boyfriend insecure bc you prioritized another man and suddenly everything is good everything is perfect???? the way the first half of the story felt like a setup for a coworker romance too. like hello??? why is the story so focused on niko when its supposed to be yoshino and rou's sequel man???? like just make a whole new series with niko as the mc then tf???? its even worse bc by the end, niko didnt even have a happy ending. like, sure, sui likes him but there wasnt a progress on that nor with whatever niko's ex did. so like, whats the point?
and the way he said "if i wasnt already dating, i would date you" hello???? are you fucking crazy???? saying that while your own boyfriend is currently anxious and jealous and alone????????? fucking crazy man. he could've said anything to reassure hibiya that someone will love him, but saying he'll fucking date him if he wasnt already dating???????? oh gtfo actually. and its so fucking stupid how clueless he is. like he needs everything to be fucking spelled out???? "my bf wont punch you" YEAH bc your bf is fucking kind and considerate unlike your dumb fucking ass!!!! who tf stays in a coworker's place??? someone he barely knows too wtf????? like if you really worry about him then get him to the hospital, or ask another coworker thats more familiar with him for help idk, but to fucking impose and excessively help like that??????? they arent even best friend or anytjing what the fuck??????? i would get if its a one time thing, but staying over for days to nurse him back to health while neglecting your boyfriend whose time spent together was already limited hello????????? and the fact it needs to be spelled out like "what if your bf is the one staying in another guy's place?" for him to realize???? like hello???? pea for a brain????? this stupid ass dude truly needs to use his brain oh my god. and then the ending is just them saying words and shit. not a single action to take accountability. seeing how fucking stupid rou is, i bet it'll happen again in the future. fucking dumbass get your fucking priority straight.
niko already said that rou is rude, but it seems like he didnt learn anything by the end lmfao. fucking learn from your mistakes cant you rou??
god. i cant remember how i felt the first series, but i believe i would've loved that bc i enjoyed most of this author's story. but this one? this one fucking sucks. ruined everything tbh. prolly ruined any development from the first series too even tho i dont remember what the first series was like. but i bet it wasnt as dogshit from the assbutt as this one.
