incredibly honest where?? he's using mc for his own benifit without telling him. He's letting mc think that this contract is only benefiting mc and is holding that over his head, getting him to act like his pet on a leash. He's anything but honest. He doesn't even actually believe that mc's life is really in danger and is further victimizing him by treating him like some druggie manwhore.
It’s easy to judge everything from the main character’s point of view because we know all their secrets and what’s true or false. But other characters, like the male lead here, don’t know that. He only knows what he’s seen and heard. Of course he thinks the main character is a druggie manwhore, the evidence looks real to him. It makes more sense if you think about what he knows, not what you know.
The most reasonable way to look at the characters tbh
I also have been preaching about this as well, also its not like he’s in love with the uke that we expect him to be the kinight in his shining armour, the fact that he even agree with the uke in this r/ship is a miracle itself. Like imagine you r an heir of a very influential family and suddenly a very problematic influencer (uke) suddenly proposed this crazy idea of contract marriage, so ofc u will be very cautious and once digging up their past and everything came out true, the prejudice stays.
The seme isnt a green flag but he’s slightly better than a red flag. Imo he treated the contract very fair since the uke havent giving him any troubles, the affection that we see he gave to uke might be becoz hes also a playboy and the uke is his type, so as a playboy himself, the uke should know better not to fall for this trick.
The only issue sometimes is that the ML tends to act like a jerk due to feeling superioir than the uke, but so far he is actually treating his uke better than most seme who is a real red flag in similar contractual relatioship that ive read so far.
I do not hate the seme right now. I know that's probably controversial, but he's been incredibly honest with the uke. He hasn't played games, he hasn't lied, he hasn't even been manipulative. He's following the contract and doing exactly what was agreed upon by both parties.
It sucks that he is using the uke, but it's important to remember that the uke approached him with the intention of using him and being used in kind. It's not the seme's fault that the uke caught feelings and wants to change the deal.
I imagine this is going to change very soon. I'm sure whatever the brother is planning is going to cause a huge rift and the seme will likely respond in a very unreasonable and toxic way. But right now, he's just being an honest guy.
