It honestly hurts my soul, man . Like, there's only so much the tired old "Fiction isn't reality" platitude can wave off--fiction *absolutely* has an effect on our reality. It's both a mirror of what's there already and a subtle influencer of our own thoughts over time, thus affecting reality in the future. If we constantly waive off dub/non-con as "not a big deal" or "exciting/sexy" that will *absolutely* have an impact on us in our daily lives. *pants and gets off soap box*
