I think he’s just playing the long game.. Forcing him to pay off the debt under the idea that loan sharks have taken her, all while Taeha is building up his job and having it as if he’s working for his money. It’s the perfect way to free Haesoo from the constant work while easing away from his lies about being poor

Idk if I like that mincheol thinks she was taken by the loan sharks lol, I wanted him to know she was with someone else and happy, but whatever, seeing him suffer is satisfying enough
