Seriously though, in America the "evil twin" trope has been so overused in the medias that people refused to think Yana would come up with such a "cliche". But that really isn't the case in Japan and many other countries. In America they seem to really be in love with psychological explanations, so they came up with PTSD theories etc. and thought these were really better when it really all comes down to cultural bias.
Plus the translation issues didn't help.
Well, now it makes sense why they didn't believe.
