Yea all the dudes relationships pretty much fell apart. So he dint want that for Asahi so he decided to simply be family with him cause it would tie them together forever. But then shit happens and we cry. Then at the end he realizes that his perfect family can come to an end when there's a third person involved. That's why he said sorry to the other dude. Cause he can't be with him cause he loves Asahi.
