my thoughts on moondae and ahyeon’s relationship

not much of a spoiler, but just in case ^^

i’ve read most of the novel, but i really love how fleshed out moondae and ahyeon’s relationship is in the manhwa, it’s illustrated so well and you can always tell how much moondae loves ahyeon (sorry im a moondae x ahyeon shipper so i’m analysing this through bl tinted glasses) because in moondae’s pov (and photography) ahyeon is literally fucking glowing like an angel. it’s like how that moondae fan views moondae.

and it’s cute how consistent moondae is when it comes to complimenting ahyeon’s visual, he’s so consistent that he brings up how attractive ahyeon is at least once in every chapter that they’re together lol. to think that moondae wanted to cut ahyeon off in the beginning but found himself getting protective of ahyeon, like the stock liquidation chapter moondae was like “who tf made you guys sad? they’re dead to me” and in a later arc where he deals with ahyeon’s bully personally. so cute, even if he won’t admit it, he loves ahyeon and keunse so much

i have a lot to say about moondae and keunse relationship too but that’s a whole nother story lol. this post is just to appreciate how beautiful ahyeon and moondae’s relationship is. it’s crazy to think that if moondae did not intervene, ahyeon would’ve never flourished and debuted after idol inc. it says a lot how much moondae affected ahyeon’s life and even his self esteem.

the same age line trio dynamic rly makes me cry, like during the sanitary pad scandal neither of them even once thought that moondae was a perpetrator and i love the way the manhwa highlights how close the three of them compared to the rest. they knew how to effectively deal with moondae when he had his crash out and moondae just LISTENS to them without hesitation. it’s so heartwarming seeing how much they care for each other and how well they know each other.
