I'm curious to see what yalls opinions are on this.

Q: Is the goodness from a person who has the capacity to be bad, better than the goodness of a person who was always pure and good to begin with?

Discuss.

I dont think the goodness is better. Assuming "goodness" is just a characteristic of an indidvidual and not a singular act, then it wouldn't differ from one individual to another in my opinion. Now, if you wanted to talk about how it is perceived by recipients of an act of goodness or the mental landscape of each individual described (the motivations behind them), that might have a different answer.

I would also argue that this could be one individual. Everyone has the capacity to be bad even if you have been pure and good your entire life. Anything can happen that changes the trajectory of someone's life. That's just my two cents.Hope it makes sense.

    Mangago mentality...
Goodness from a person who has capacity to be bad is always better ...coz... plot, imagine if someone bad treats you nicely... good/better than the rest of npcs - you just unlocked a manga worthy plot in life XD XD

Second one, simply because everyone has the capacity to be bad. So what you are describing in the first option is just a normal person. The second one is a rare find. Someone who truly has a good heart/soul is unique. (I'm talking about irl situations)

You assume that goodness is something innate, so on that grounds i don’t think I can answer your question
