No you interpreted it wrong. He doesn't love him because of how much he loves him. But wouldn't you so love if your partner loved you a lot? That's what he's saying. He means he's really happy because of how much he lives him basically
He literally says “I fell for you because of how much you love me” how am I interpreting it wrong? He says it word for word? Then gets asked “and how do you feel about me now?” And he just says “I love you too obviously”.
He doesn’t say a single reason for him loving REN, except for “you love me so I love you”.
Maybe I am interpreting it wrong or the translation is wrong. It still ticks me off now when Ren told him this clear reason/backstory to loving Kyo, Kyos respond is just “yeah I love you too”.

This was so incredibly cute until Kyle (I think that was his name, that one with dark hair) said that he loves Ren because of how much he loves him…. “I love how much you love me”, what?
