No projection.
It pretty much said not to trust anyone so he's not a projection. Also didn't need to reach ch. 6 to have a definitive conclusion. As soon as that stranger approached you know there's gonna be trouble.
I forgot I thought u meant wolves. I didn't know coyotes don't move in packs. Could that be Todd's dad?

Weeellll. Technically speaking, the "trust no one" can be a trigger for that projection if there's an underlying mental condition. Like, imagine the owner saying that because his neighbors steal his lambs, but then Dennis creates this enemy who does/makes him do bad things.
But yeah, I did think about that first warning and that's why the coyote theory goes first for me haha.
Also, I just searched about coyotes behavior and although they don't usually go in packs, they are social and might stay with their families, even hunt in pairs. So yeah, a family of coyotes shifters sounds good so far! And that scene with the lamb and Todd's eyes were fucked up enough to keep me interested even if there's no projections in the end
Art is outstanding and I don't see everyday an Erwin Smith-like protagonist so it caught my eye even if cowboys setting is not my cup of tea.
But damn, I'm so hooked now. Not only the art, the atmosphere it builds is amazing.
By chapter 6 is pretty obvious for me that Todd is a coyote shifter. I'm not sure that coyotes move in packs tho, so that scene with the deer confused me.
My other theory is that Dennis might be spiraling into madness and Todd is just a projection. That'd be so cool ngl
I can't wait for more chapters<3
