From what I read they pretty much confront about their past but more like jiwook remember what he did and beg the ML not to leave him so I think they forgive each other . But since jiwook has undergone all that fucked up shit and I remember the ml said you're no longer satisfied with normal love or something so they turned into master - sub relationship . The translation where I read was a bit off tho so this is pretty much how I understand and perceived the ending
