Yeah that's true, but I do think that is solidified now, because this is sorta the first time where we see Iruma flustered, not because he's excited, but because he's shy about Ameri. (Or maybe I just have bad memory and he's been flustered like that before LOL).
It's cannon now everyone, Ameri and Iruma is gonna be cannon now. I never really shipped Iruma with anyone cause it never occured to me as important to his character or storyline, but if Author-san think it fits, then I'd have to agree. And I do think that Ameri is the better pick when it comes to romantic pairing with Iru-sonofadensebrick over here
