I understand Kael about his part...

....but I'm with Hess on this. Diana needs to be dethroned. This is not about Hess getting revenge (although she is doing it for herself satisfaction) but it's more like Diana is NOT FIT as a princess. Kael is only thinking of what would follow if she was dethroned but not the reason why she should be removed.
Kael, you are a Duke, do what you need to do.

I beg to differ… Kael is a strategyst. He knows sooner or later Diana will get dethroned either by public pressure or divorce from loveless marriage

But, dethroned from public pressure will disgrace Diana more than divorce, and make the public think Imperial Family can’t even choose a leader’s spouse wisely —> and maybe led to bigger problem like mistrust to imperialism & even rebellion.

Yes they know she is unfit to be a crown princess but he just doesn’t want to get him & Hestia directly & publicly involved..

I see your point, but honestly, Kael distancing himself just makes him look passive. If he knows Diana’s unfit, why wait for public fallout or a divorce to fix it?
Yes, public pressure or divorce could lead to her removal, but waiting for that only prolongs the damage. If anything, it puts both the people and the throne at greater risk. Kael is in a position of power now, and he could steer the situation in a way that protects the empire’s integrity without letting things spiral. Also, by distancing himself just because Hestia is the one taking initiative, it comes across like he’s rejecting the validity of her actions rather than supporting a necessary solution.
    That’s not strategy—it’s avoidance.
