The novel is perfectly fine, it should be adapted as it is. The change with Diana's visit is not that big but in the novel, she came alone, unannounced, her arrival was reported in front of the doctors but Hestia put her trust to Kaelus and told him to meet her, while she remained with the guests. And Kaelus rejected Diana and criticized her for coming unannounced too, it was like a huge wall between them. It was a very spectacular show-off of their affection which contrasted with Kaelus' decision to not impeach Diana. This decision makes Hestia to re-evaluate her place in the story and her life there, not leaving the castle meanwhile Kaelus is leaving "to rescue his old love" as Hestia believes is happening. These chapters are a bit too rushed, somehow disproportionate and don't do the novel justice. They are not bad like this but not that dramatic either which is a strong point of the novel.
