i know right??!! like trust me i also had a "mf wtf u mean 'if i was single'??" moment but its clear that rou meant it to boost his confidence but just worded it wrong. i also want to give the author a little benefit of doubt considering its one line and some connotation or meaning could have been lost in translation.
Yeah, like that line wasn't cool but it also wasn't really played as a good thing to say. He's literally so dumb and he's working on being better at relationships and is succeeding, but has slip ups. And yeah, sometimes translation can make things sound worse, but even if it wasn't the case, I think the context of the situation makes that line not excusable, but forgivable
Okay so I read it for myself and... These comments were overreacting like hell. The line people were mad about was out of line for SURE but Rou is DUMB and as soon as he got called out he was like "OH NO!" I didn't love that there was a bit more time spent on Niko than I would have liked but it was all handled so understandably and Rou literally called to make sure he was communicating and STILL apologized for not realizing that Yoshino has a habit of saying something is fine but actually not meaning it. This also ends very sweetly so idk why there was so much hate lol
