probably bcause SL is kinda OG in these RPG style manhwa and maybe you have to read the novel too
im sure it is! it was probs way less generic when it first came out (~2013 i believe?), but i started reading way back in 2017 and still wasn't a fan. originality =/ quality for me. my issue isn't with the setting and moreso with how the characters are written. i hope that the SL anime rly paves the way for more korean manhwa to get more adapted (although im rly disappointed that tog had to walk so SL could run)

i have no idea if this is like a very popular take or not. but i was an og SL reader and to this day i still think its soooo mid. so, on that note, are there any like action rpgs with like actual good plot/unique takes on things and well written characters? no romance and if there IS romance it is actually well developed (unlike SL which is so flat and tropey)
