You’re right, but he killed his father first, then saw the degree. By the time Jinwoo regained consciousness, wasn’t his dad already dead? So why kill the healthy dad instead of the already injured Jinwoo?

not 100% sure but i think jinwoo's dad stole the water bottle from the hounds (he says he was chased). guwon followed him back to the house and killed him in retaliation. he was about to kill jinwoo, but sees his education degree on the floor
