You’re basically right. The corpse they found and misidentified is Lorona’s maid who was her stepmother’s niece(?) dressed up like her. Lorona didn’t intentionally set up the switch though if that’s what you’re thinking. It was all the maid’s choice who wanted to ruin Lorona’s reputation further by impersonating her and creating a scandal by just walking around the red-light district. However, on the way an animal spooks her carriage and kills he on the spot, messing up her face.
FL’s dad does end up in jail but the stepmother actually gets out. She ends up marrying a wealthy old baron that more or less paid her bail. However, he is HEAVILY implied to kill off his wives(they mention a “special hobby that is not unusual for aristocrats”. I don’t really know what that means).
The FL’s sister does get scarred from a carriage accident when she was trying to visit the prince in the middle of the night for help and comfort because her parents refused to sell any of their shit to pay off their debt and were planning on basically selling her off to that rich old baron. Ashamed of her appearance, she’ll withdraws from society and will most likely become a nun.
As for the prince, you’ve basically got it. Caught out in his infidelity, in debt from the compensation fee and caught assaulting a maid while drunk, his father makes the decision to basically disown him, make him a vassal as a count (which is apparently the only way he can pay off his debt), and banished him from the kingdom,
So actuality the maid was the corpse which became conveniently a means of trigger for FL to escape as the replacement, because her face was ruin because of the carriage accident making the identification hard so they declare her dead which leads to a chain reaction of self destruction because of the disappearance of one important variable which is FL.
Both parents are jailed and sister suffer from one eye and one leg injury that looks serious, and a prince who is mentally unstable and in denial, and tried to SA the maid he mistaken as FL (hallucinated rather) and I think he was disown or remove as a crown prince (not sure)
FL was found in the far away orphanage (I think) and still depressed, but thankfully ML is there for therapy session, butler guy with eyebags and freckles was with them and still reliable as ever.
