He most likely got commoner/servant mentality. From what i remember he recently become a noble.
Just because you’re in proximity of certain class, doesn’t mean you know the DEATILS of their lifestyles.
Plus he never had a proper education regarding being a noble.
Tho pls correct me if im wrong about sum.
It’s been a bit since i read this and am just reading the updates. Forgot ALL details.

It doesn't matter if he is a commoner he was a wealthy commoner and they were not without money. He has the intelligence to be in kings circle and lead an army but not his household? That doesn't sound right tbh despite you background. There can be discrepancy in nobility mannerisms but tgats it. You cant have a tight ship over mercenaries and win a war but not your household that has your beloved sister? Odd. I can see him not realising his sisters behaviour as hes busy but he also doesn't have guards on her and thats odd when hes from mercenary background where he should feel some type of paranoia ok keeping an eye on loved ones in case of danger. I just don't get how he knows nothing of his own house but knowledgeable to climb up the ladder to be in a kings circle
If ml is in kings inner circle and has great intellect how does he have zero control or nuance over his own house his sister lives in??? They should have made the plot where troubles in maors were more conspicuous and greed behind smiling faces. Its too obvious about the maids, house falling apart, sis acting out... ml looks like an idiot for not noticing
