I’m sorry but rapist..? Do you know the weight of the word to just throw it around like that. He had NOT acted on his whims, it could be anger issues and what not, the story hasn’t even properly progressed no lore nothing just a rough mention, not even properly taboo and he’s shown to keep his complete cool. Let’s not even go into that “oh but he thought of it” bullshit because clearly there are so so many layers to it than JUST that. Sit it the fuck out first.

First of all, the contract was coercive. Coercion is rape but let’s say it was really consensual, there was still many times in which, during the intercourses Nanjo clearly said « stop » and « no » multiple times and Mokyeon never stopped. Even when Nanjo literally fainted and lost consciousness he kept going until the end. There’s no debate whether it was rape or not. It’s one thing to enjoy problematic content cause you differentiate fiction and reality but you seem to not even realize that what you’re reading IS rape. How would you even put things into perspective and differentiate fiction and reality when you can’t even be aware of what’s problematic in the fiction. As I previously said, I won’t debate on the rape part. He IS rapist. And if you can’t even fathom that, then maybe you’re too young to be reading this and it’s another reason why I will not debate with you.

I apologise
I have skimmed through the chapters where sex was involved and didn’t take it seriously, rather I skimmed through the initial chapters a lot
The only part I read was the recent one which also I could’ve skipped if not for the plot playing a small role
Although the contract was coercive I think it’s completely fair and I don’t understand how it’s unfair at all because that is exactly how most and I mean most contracts are made actually irl where the one who makes the contract targets both the pros and cons of the other person and makes it less risky for the one who’s putting forward the contract and more risky for the one accepting it. They ACCEPTED it. If it were not for the rape I would’ve not seen it as problematic at all.

I was honestly ok with the contract tbh. It’s really the rape part that bothers me. I think it’s really different if it’s fiction or reality. IRL, coercing someone to make a contract to have sex with, is problematic. Coercing is persuading an UNWILLING person to do something by using force or in this case threats. So if we’re talking about sex, coercion would definitely be rape. Even if the person eventually accepts, it can’t possibly be real consent cause there’s literally a threat behind. Mokyeon threatened to keep on hurting/having sex with the twink if Nanjo didn’t accept his offer and Nanjo accepted it cause he felt like he had no other choices. It is objectively problematic. It’s not any kind of contract, it’s about having sex with someone. So one must admit that the consent is (at least) dubious and the whole thing is problematic, even if they both agreed to it.
But yeah, in fiction, I don’t have the same moral compass so yeah, the contract didn’t bother me that much but the actual rape during the sex was where I draw the line. And he did rape him. And yet I’m still reading and enjoying the story so… yeah.

I understand your pov
I do have to say I saw it differently
Although Nanjo was threatened we as readers know it’s not how the case is
Blondie said he’d hurt the twink but we know he usually likes it rough maybe the implication was twisted
It’s not coerce but mostly manipulation
Also he was having quite fun ( I did not like )
Moreover it wasn’t all that serious either but I did skim through that particular chapter from what I remember it was not as heavy as you’ve mentioned
But I believe it was how I interpreted and because I did skim through it maybe I’ll go and read again and maybe my views will change
But I never did like the blonde all that much because I believe he was very very immature now that you’ve mentioned this I feel like I don’t like him at all
And I really am not one who would read rape and enjoy it and separate reality from fiction so I’m not going to enjoy reading this but I really really like the story telling so I’ll sit through and wait to see if this is worth being an exception

I agree , now that i think about it again, sunhwa is bad for being a gold digger and two faced to nanjo , but that's all of his sin. Meanwhile mokyeon currently is piling up his sin by adding more each chapter , if we list both of their fault mokyeon definitely has more fault than sunhwa
Sunhwa list of fault :
1. Lying to nanjo about his entire personality (two faced)
2. Having sex with other people behind nanjo back
3. Gold digging , but this one is actually kinda debatable because its not like sunhwa is asking for the gifts directly , its nanjo who bought and give the gifts himself without sunhwa asking (?)
Mokyeon list of fault :
1. Mokyeon coerced nanjo to have sex with him by blackmailing nanjo if he dont want to mokyeon will keep bothering sunhwa
2. Continue from point 1 , mokyeon supported sunhwa lie at first by saying he is indeed bothering and abusing sunhwa to manipulate nanjo into having sex with him
3. Mokyeon lied to sunhwa by having sex with sunhwa boyfriend behind sunhwa back
4. and mokyeon being shameless actually have the audacity to show sign of hate or jealousy to sunhwa even almost killed sunhwa by choking sunhwa with a pillow
5. On recent chapter only solidified that mokyeon clearly hate sunhwa now , where in fact without sunhwa he will never meet with nanjo in the first place
Nanjo also isn't free of fault, at this point i even doubt if nanjo truly loves sunhwa , i don't know what is his objective tbh :
1. Nanjo actually going along with mokyeon demand behind sunhwa back , like if nanjo is really the green flag partner , he should've talked about mokyeon deal with sunhwa first and then they should have deal with it together if nanjo truly loves sunhwa , but going along with mokyeon demand felt a bit off to me , like the whole i can give you my ass but don't touch my lover kind of thing felt like a lame excuse to justify you are cheating from your current partner
2. Nanjo lying to sunhwa saying he was sick when he is actually working , why would he lie ? Did he actually developed feeling for mokyeon ? If that's true then he is also being a jerk to sunhwa , because technically sunhwa is still his official boyfriend no ?
So i think all of them is not free from fault , and that is actually what makes the story interesting for me , i am curious how this drama will turn out (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
I can’t believe I will be defending this damn twink cause I used to hate him so damn much but like, I truly don’t understand why yall are focusing your anger at the twink right now. Sure I understand at the beginning but Mokyeon is so much worse than him now. The twink is literally just a gold digger but he’s actually not a mean person or anything (sure he’s an annoying liar but he’s not violent nor a rapist contrary to a certain someone), he’s not even competitive or menacing in any way. But Mokyeon is so damn insane and selfish. He’s such a bad friend and the way he treats and manipulates Nanjo is so much worse than how the twink treats him. Why are yall just talking about the twink when he’s just trying to enjoy his birthday that is being ruined by his psychotic fake ass friend that secretly hates him cause he’s obsessed with his boyfriend that he’s forcing into having sex with. He’s a bad friend and a bad partner and a bad person, but he acts like a poor victim even though he’s just facing the consequences of his own actions. Like, c’mon guys, you need to focus on the right things. The twink is not the problem here. He was awful at first but now, he barely appears anymore, he’s not even a real menace tbf, it’s just Mokyeon projecting his insecurities and acting like a fool cause he can’t seems to managed to steal his best friend’s boyfriend (by being violent and selfish). The hate on the twink is so forced now. Yall don’t really care about the fact that he’s awful cause if yall actually did care about it, then yall would talk about Mokyeon’s insane behaviors instead.
Someone said « it’s giving hating the girl in an mlm ship » and it’s so damn accurate
