I think what happened was that Jinwoo's head was so messed up from his injury that he thought he was being attacked by someone, and was then saved when Guwon killed them in the first chapter. He doesn't realize that it was actually his dad until he sees his dad's body in the same spot where the "attacker" died

I thought that body was someone else that tried to kill teach and was not his dad's body..
