I think he loves both of them it’s just he feels guilty since his negligence led to his daughters suffering, so he’s making up for lost time/overly expressive/protective now that he can be with her and the misunderstandings have mostly been resolved.
But I totally feel what you’re saying! Also when MC it wasn’t her fathers for her suffering in this last ch, a part of me couldn’t help but think it kind of is for him being and ignorant fool blindly trusting those around him without properly verifying anything…
I love daughter father tropes but it rubs me the wrong way when the favoritism is this intense that its suddenly that the stronger (physically) older sibling is set aside and lowkey neglected for the sake of the youngest beloved kid. I get it but pisses me of. I'd drop it but im so bored
