I'm not really Sorry to tell you this, your standards are downhill . Irie is too nonchalant, and cares less about mant stuff that kotoko cares for and I'm speaking about the og version, as well as the japanese and korean one; he also slapped kotoko several times just because she was expressing herself which is fucked up and a form of abuse, he doesn't show emotions yet he chose to use his hand when feeling frustrated.
You guys say what you want but Irie Naoki is my all time crush. The first time I dived into this story,I was really envious of Kotoko. The "I don't care at all" vibes he give are what I like about Irie.He is proud, introvert, egoist, tsundere, a big indifferent but handsome jerk etc. and the list goes on.Before reading the manga I watched the kdrama and the ml in kdrama portrayed Irie really well(low-key I was the big fan of his looks though sometimes I wanted to kick him in the butt lmao).
The Japanese adaptation was really fun as well but the ml's looks in it weren't up to my taste(Yeah...I usually go for the looks). In Japanese adaptation the ambience is nostalgic and that's the only thing I like about it.The Taiwanese one has more feels. The one who has watched it,will know what I mean.I guess I'm more biased towards the Korean adaptation because that's the first one I saw.But this story is my favourite.
