Yes I agree with the twink thing lmao but the story itself is still very solid. I do disagree with the last part of ur comment but I see where you’re coming from. These characters are unreliable narrators or in general have a very closed minded perspective on things. They’re blinded by different things and only see their part of the story. Karel might’ve said he loved Sasya for his looks but we know that’s not true. The length he went to for him was very significant and we know they can’t communicate for shit lol. I could explain more but it’s just a quick opinion
No I get what your saying but I'm still gonna stand by my perspective because we're not the author and so that's all we can do...have perspectives. No right or wrong answer. But after reading ur comment I guess I can agree the story is solid but what I was trying to say is that the characters are not. I have reread the story and I still fully believe that karel's obsession with Sasya is because of his looks and the question being brought up again only to get the same answer cannot be unreliable story telling because it was brought up more than once. Also after Karel vowed to get revenge on sasya he folded after sasya "seduced" him...idk didn't sit right with me. So in that sense the story is solid as in we can make an assumption of what the root of their relationship is. Just to be clear im not saying there is no genuine love at all and that Karel doesn't like other things about sasya but it seems his looks might be his fav part about sasya. ALMOST like a Helen of troy situation and Karel is Paris, except its obvious Karel is not as crude or villainous as Paris lol. AGAIN that's only my perspective ur free to interpret it ur way as well :)
This is def gonna get downvotes but i just want to say that this story was SO PEAK at the beginning, from the character design to the plot. But its also so watered down now. The plot is just 1 dimensional and the twinkification of sasya is kinda icky. Like at first he looked like an adult man maybe "twink" features but still an adult man. They even showed him getting a little buffer as he worked out. But now he looks so weird and KAREL does too. The anime eyes on karel this chap was so ...ugh. Plot wise, maybe this story started going downhil after the second time sasya asked why karel liked him and karel answered the same way he did the first time. Basically just for his looks. The first time i get it, they were young but his answer is the same even after the time skip? Why even bring it up again if the answer is the same?
