Vamp- scared of rain, mother committed suicide, looks identical to mother, servants love him, community fears him, rumors about people running away scared of his face and a disease that spreads. Remembers someone who looked like mcs dad asking to be made a vampire.
Mc- looks like dad. Is seeing illusions, maybe of his grandpa/father who knows. Has urge to love/obey master.
Shauffer- seems to know more than letting on.
Guessing there is some curse tying people from mcs family to masters family. Maybe starting with the mother. Mother comits suicide, maybe grandpa mc and her had a thing and something terrible happened that caused the curse- maybe related to her wanting to make him immortal. Then the son has a thing with the father, the father also asks to become immortal, he knows it can have consequences but dad rages out about his son taking his place. Another theory- maybe the heriditary curse is having all you descendants be copies of you ?
