I agree cause the moment that one page showed the empress near that painting of her and Lumiere something just felt like the feelings the empress has towards Lumiere is not very normal

The empress who implored the assassins to kill everyone close to him from maids to knights just so Saphir will go into depression and will run to he for protection or something close to that.
I also thought the empress is obsessed with Lumiere, but then I wonder why she poisoned her?
Didn't she poison Saphir and not Lumiere. Lumiere only ate if for Saphir.
Lumiere tasted the food served for saphir. Though i dont get why ahe poisoned the food saphir is about to eat.
Maybe because she hated the fact that the love between lumiere and the emperor actually bore fruit? And maybe she is doing the same plan she is doing to saphir rightnow : to make lumiere broken and be dependent towards her (?)
So basically, the empress being in love with saphir's mother wants to kill off everyone to make him dependent towards her because the empress is obssessed with lumiere (saphirs mother) who passed down her looks to saphir making him the target of obssession from the empress.
Maybe the empress's urge to own all of him was the result of Lumiere not being able to reciprocate the same love the empress gave her since I suppose Lumiere fell in love with the emperor. Lumieres type of love towards the empress is probably loyalty pr something.
Its just a thought doe. I dont know the spelling od the names lol
